Easter Egg Decorating!

Oh I fogot...we had our first Easter Egg Coloring Experience. She did pretty good concidering and she didn't even change colors!!! She had fun with a friend Louisa!

Updates

Wow! So it has been a few months since I have posted anything so here are some family updates...

Justin - well Justin is as always busy busy with work. He is always going. He did recently become a 4-H leader with me and went through his shooting sports training! He is having his first official shooting sports 4-H meeting this upcomming Saturday!!! He is excited! He is currently looking all over for a new gun...don't ask me why he needs another but he thinks he does...lol!

Jaden - Lets see...Jaden is quickly approaching her 2nd birthday and has already begun terrible 2's. I can't belive on Aug. 1 she will be 2 already. Time flies! She is going to day care about 2 days a week and the rest of the time she is at home having fun with all the animals! She loves the outdoors and her animals she gets mad on the days we don't get to go outside. Her new ducks (easter present) are among her favorites!

Shayna - well lets see...I have been ever so busy. In early May I went to Montana for a week with Idaho DHIA to see the hooterite colony dairymen. They were a blast, it sucked thought that I was away from Justin & Jaden for 5 days. In July I'm going to Oregon to see dairies there and back to Montana in September. With 4-H season really going now it has been fun with lots of 4-H meetings, events and shows comming soon! I haven't been doing to many parties for Temptations but I'm still having fun with that and AVON is mostly for my own use!

Lets see in our pasture we still have

-Mariah, our 6 year old paint mare

-Rocky, Mariah's 1 yr old son. We are thinking Rocky is going to become 1/2 a man soon if he doesn't shape up.

-Brown Cow, weanling JerseyXHolstein who thinks she is 10 feet tall and bullet proof. Justin says if she had balls we'd be removing them

-Moomy, she is our deformed Holstein. She has a cleft palat and is missing one nostril. She is Jaden's pal and Jaden calls her Moomy hense the name.

-Ben & Hattie, my two goats who think they are GOD. They are very obnoxious and Justin says they are his attack goats and if you don't pay attention to them they do attack.

-Cheiftian (Cheif), he one of our newest family members, also a pgymy goat and looks like he could be the kid to Ben & Hattie. He is funny and very different compared to my other experiences with goats.

-Squeek & Zorro, these are Jaden's easter present. Squeek always made tons of noise when we first got him and Zorro had black mask looking stripes over his eyes. They are fun. Jaden has to go talk to them everyday and gets mad if you won't let her.

Julie, Jade & Sadie, our three dogs. Julie and Jade are expected to be at the dairy every day by my dad who says they work...they don't know how to do anything but sit..lol and Sadie thinks she is a duck and goat herding dog. Must be little dog syndrom.

Currently Justin & I are attempting to buy a house but so far no luck. We screwed up when we got married and didn't take care of our credit and now that we actually are responsible enough to use it we don't have any. Hopefully by New Years we will be close to purchasing our VERY OWN House! and hopefully by then interest rates haven't jumped back up.

Well I think that is about all that is going on in our lives!

Long Road Ahead

So things have been so up and down for my little family and just when things were looking so up they have began to come crashing down again. Now I can't say too much yet...but it is just hard.

We are sad we need to sell our two Angus calves (if your interested let us know) and also we are looking for a home for out Jersey X calf. We are doing everything possible to keep our horses and my goats won't be going anywhere. :(

At least Justin & I finally have our finances under control and have learned how to properly spend. Also our jobs are secure! And for the time being we have a roof over our heads.

Sadly a few weeks ago we applied for a home loan and were denied so we are trying to recover from that blow...but I guess we deserve it...we spent more than we made for so long and it finally caught up..but now we are all paid and current!!! YAY!!! So hopefully in a few months we'll be able to re-apply and get the loan.

Anyway...that is my little rant and rave for tonight. Feels good to write this down...even if it doesn't make sense to anyone else.

Jerome Idaho USA

So here we all are...the economy is failing and so are jobs. The dairy isn't doing so hot and we are at a spot that frightens me terribly. Our house is part of the dairy...what will happen to us if we end up losing the dairy? Frustrating.
Thankfully Justin and I are trying to get our finances in order so that we can start preparing to purchase a house. We would like to get a little house with some land for our "projects" as Justin calls them. But who knows what we'll actually be able to afford.
It is scary to know that our little angel is growing up in this. It is scary to think about what may come of this and we were just getting ready to prepare for another one...but have put it off till we get our living situations together. It is sad to me because Jaden is growing so quickly and we don't want her to be an only child or to have two children to far apart. Plus as long as it took us to get pregnant last time who knows how long it may take this time.
Please pray for us and defiantly for our dairy. It would be awful to know that 26 years of hard work could be lost in one years time. My family are good dairymen and should be taken down by this but we may...Prayers please.

Maybe this post is more of a vent than an update...lol.

Pill Baby

So Grandma & Grandpa Wilks made it home sucessfully from a few weeks long stay with us. We enjoyed having them and are very sad they had to leave. But they could have left Jaden a little less spoiled...

Jaden is driving us insane. All she wants is to get gummy bears. So now she has two grandpa's that give her gummy bears...ugh. She walks into the kitchen now and points at the cupbard where Grandpa Wilks kept her gummies and demands that we give her some and when we don't she throws herself on the ground and cries. This is the sucky part about being a parent, the crying. And saddly I know we are just getting started with it. LOL!

Well Justin & I are preparing for the 4-H season. I have my first meeting of 2009 at the end of the month. Justin is also going to become a leader and do shooting sport! That will be a great way for him to get involved in 4-H and we'll be doing something together...cause latly it seems like we've been doing alot apart.

Well I think that is all the updates. I'm going to put a couple of pics up here later this evening.
